Jeff

Just ran MS antispyware and got no hits. Right after ran
a competing program and got 22 hits, 8 were considered
critical. Think more work is definitely needed for this
program to be effective.

Hi Jeff these type of comments do come up alot on the
forums but its hard to make any comment unless you say
exactly what was found ,

Just because some un named program says something is
critical doesn't always mean you have spyware,Some
scanner's for example give you info if you havent got all
your security patches from Microsoft and will show it as
a critical vunrability but these can be fixed by going to
windows update and getting all the latest updates.

If you can show any spyware thats not being detected it
would help MS include them into future updates. If its
just cookies though or missing patches this can easily be
fixed without using a spyware program by opening Internet
Options and clearing cookies from there or if its the
patches then goto http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and
checking if there is security updates available.

Could you be specific about what the competing product found? If its cookies
or data miners, beta 1 does not track them. Because many cookies are used
for legitimate purposes, our plan is to refine our approach to cookies based
on customer feedback we receive during the beta period.
