program not responding

Try to access a pdf file two levels deep at a web site.
Often get IE "program not responding". Occassionaly the
abode pdf program comes on. system is XP professional, IE
6 128 bit sp1 and all updates, abode 6.

Very frustrating, not sure which program is the culprit.

This was an issue with IE 5. Check it out just in case.
