Program Not Responding

I downloaded the Microsoft Antispyware Beta 1 and I
scanned my computer and started the cleanup. In the
middle of the cleanup, it froze and so I did the Control,
Alt, Delete thing to end the program and then I rebooted
my computer. Now, I can't use the program at all, it
won't load up, even in Safe Mode. I tryed most
everything on the Quick Fix Protocol and it still does
not load up. Can anyone help me?
 
Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Microsoft AntiSpyware in a
non-default location such as c:\msas to see if that fixes the problem? Also
enable show hidden files > Tools > Folder Options > View Tab.

Empty your temp files folder.
 
Yes, I tried all those things which were in the link to
the Quick Fix Protocal that was on another post. I'm not
sure what to do at this point.

When you ran Adaware (Quick fix advice), did you find anything
and removed it ?

With Cwsshredder (Quick fix advice) ?

What antivirusprogram is in use ? updated ?

You can scan your PC with this tool.

If you are running SP2 you must permit Trendmicros ActiveX
install for scanning.
 
Hey, thanks for all your help guys. I got MSAS to work.
I found that I emptied a TEMP file, but it wasn't the one
that had about 1000 files on it. I was pretty shocked
when I found the correct one that the Quick Fix was
referring to. My computer runs so much smoother now and
the internet, but I still have problems with the hotmail
and getting a blank screen when trying to send and
delete, etc.

Scan with MSAS in safe mode, choose deepscan

Scan also with Adaware

Perhaps also your mailpoblem goes away.
