In using Windows XP I want the menu to unfold side-by-side rather than expand
via up and down scroll arrows. What must I do to change this so the program
menu choices completely unfold side-by-side?

Have you tried using a right-click on the Taskbar, selecting
Properties, Start Menu tab and then Customize?
There is an option to Scroll Programs which you can uncheck.
See if that is what you want.
(Sorry, I can't check if it works as I order my Start Menu programs so
they don't scroll anyway)

Hi Inobugs,

If using the XP Start Menu, right-click in the upper border where username
appears, select Properties, click on Customize button, Advanced tab. In the
Start menu items field, scroll to locate and uncheck "Scroll Programs",
click on OK, Apply, OK.

If using Classic Start Menu, go to Start>Settings>Taskbar and Start Menu,
Start Menu tab, click on Customize button. In the Advanced Start menu
options field, scroll to locate and uncheck "Scroll Programs", click on OK,
Apply, OK.

Regards,

I found what you recommended and it worked, thanks! I had gone there, but
had missed the "scroll menu" box.
