Is there a Microsoft Article that outlines steps to follow to Organize
WindowsXP Program List? My list is so large not all Programs appear
(START/ALL PROGRAMS). I want to put some of the Programs into Folders to
make the list shorter/more compact
 
You could use Windows Explorer:

Start
Windows Explorer
My Computer
C:\
Documents and Settings
All Users
Start Menu
Programs

Here create your new Folders

Then drag the programs/folders into the newly created folders.

What you see listed on your Start menu is a combination of
these two folders;

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu
C:\Documents and Settings\YOURACCOUNT\Start Menu

Organizing the contents of these two folders will organize your
Start menu.

Or rt click on your START button, select OPEN ALL USERS, open the PROGRAMS
folder & then I usually create several main folders in there like MEDIA,
GRAPHICS, INTERNET, UTILITIES & OFFICE PROGRAMS.
Then I find it easier to get out of there & go to START, open up the ALL
PROGRAMS list & (for example) rt click & hold down the button (drag) up to
UTILITIES, when it pops out & says NONE, drag out & drop it on the word
NONE. Once you've done it a couple of times it'll be easier.
If you accidently miss where you drop it, look on the desktop for it!!!
