I have installed several new programs.... I see the Alert new Programs
Installed but when I click on START\ALL PROGRAMS.....I don't see the newly
installed Program in the lists. My Program List is 3 Column.... Is it
possible there is a limit to this list and that is why I don't see the New
program Installed in the Lists? I do note that all the programs in the far
right column.....which is to the far right side of my monitors screen.....if
I place the mouse over it, its sub programs open....but I don't see the
arrows to the right of these programs you normally see that indicates
additional slections are available.

Is there a limit to how many Programs appear when you open ALL PROGRAMS? If
not, should I be seeing a 4th column....or a down arrow to scroll down to see
more programs (I don't have a down Arrow Scroll showing)

You should likely go in and organize your start menu - so that it doesn't
get so out of hand...

And just because you installed a program does not mean that program will
definitely put a shortcut anywhere - much less the start menu.

Thanks....but so I understand, are you saying there is a limit to how many
Programs appear when you open ALL PROGRAMS (Start Menu lists)? I realize not
all installed programs place the Program in the Program list or a
shortcut....but what made me write was the last program I installed, I saw
the yellow NEW PROGRAM INSTALLED" alert but did not see it in the List.

Set your program list to scroll programs. Then you can see everything on it.

No - I never said anything about a limit - because for all intents and
purposes - the limit of the start menu is the limit of the number of files
in a given directory, etc. That's all that is - a directory that is being
presented to you in a more 'friendly' way.

Start button --> RUN --> type in:

%USERPROFILE%\Start Menu

--> Click OK... That is your start menu...

Start button --> RUN --> type in:

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu

--> Click OK... That is the parts of the start menu shared by everyone...

(Usually it is actually under "Programs" after that directory opens.)
