program like IE archiver - for Foxfire

I really like Foxfire , but miss being able to easily highlight and
save text and the web address (URL) to a text file ........ like I can
in MYie2 with IE text archiver program ........... anyone know of an
ad-on to Foxfire that can do that ?

You mean Firefox?
Use a clipboard utility like Yankee Clipper III

The Quicknote extension for Firefox lets you save selected text plus the
URL to a small notepad -- and then save that notebook page as a text
file.
