I have a notebook with a bluetooth module. Now everytime I start Windows, I
get a message from WD that a program has changed. It turns out that it is a
registry change from a dll-file from the toshiba bluetooth module.
When I go there I allow this program. But the next time the message comes
again.
I can't find or put the file in the allowed items list.
When I look in the history I see that the name is "Unkown" for all these
reports.
Is there a way to put this file in the allowed items list, so that I stop
getting these messages ?

Have you checked extra boxes in the general options to receive additional
alerts?

If the file is really re-registering on each startup, I don't think I know
how to fix this.

Thanks Bill for your suggestion.
It put me on the right track where I found another solution:
Under Tools -> General Settings there is an option Advanced Options.
There I entered the DLL-file as a file not to scan.
Now I get no alerts anymore.

Terrific--I didn't think that one would work, because I was afraid that the
object would look different at each boot--but if that works, thats the way
to do it.

Folks,
I have the same problem, different driver (a Toshiba laptop docking utility
here.) This procedure may solve Sunclair's issue and mine but ...
QUESTION: if we (as a community) tell WD to stop checking certain files then
mihght not these files become vectors for attack? Shouldn't we continue to
"vote" to ALLOW the prgms until MS pushes updates to WD with recognised
definitions of these "unknown" files?
PS Now I am going to my Advanced Options to add my prgm to the "do not scan"
list because I have been voting long enough and do not want to wait for MS
any longer!

Tools, general settings--then scroll down--look for a large empty text
box--this is not a tab, but a section of dialog box labelled "advanced
options."

I hear you on the voting issue--I'm not clear exactly what the model is
here--but getting the drivers "voted" safe would surely be better.
