Your header is for a "program for editing dvd's"?
The body of your post is for a program for authoring DVD's?

It isn't that simple!

There is a whole wooly world of editing software. Example being
Roxio videowave 7 which I use for composing, editing, etc
It can produce DVD's, but it cannot *edit* DVD's...........

In another post you detail problems with connecting a DV cam.
I assume your intent is to produce DVD's from DV tape?
You first need to sort the problem of lack of Firewire port on
your PC, then to post a coherent question.
