I have a power point slide show that I would like to be able to convert to
DVD. I have this in Microsoft PPSS Producer and also saved as a PPSS in
Office.

I have downloaded several trial programs seaching for one that I could use
with no luck so far. Can anyone give me information on a program to do this?

I use Camtasia Studio, www.techsmith.com, to record the presentation and the
burning program that came with my DVD drive to transfer the resulting file
to a DVD. The results are very good.

I did not find any of the programs useful, which promise to convert
presentations in one step.

Best regards,
Ute

If what you want to do is just a data back up, and you don't need to
play your PowerPoint with a DVD player, common burning software is
enough and No matter it is a CD or DVD. DVD disc have more space
compare to CD.
If you want to watch PowerPoint on TV with a DVD player,
Here some aspects you need to pay attention to:
PowerPoint does not have the built-in ability to save presentations as
video files or other video formats such as DVD-Video and, even if it
did,
there would be significant loss of interactivity (because DVD-Video
and
PowerPoint slide show have very different capabilities in this area)
and
loss of visual fidelity (DVD-Video resolution is less than typical
computer
display resolution and most television will not render colors the same
way
that a computer display will).

The only way to do this is to get specific PowerPoint to DVD
software.

the other option is to use Windows Movie Maker but you would have to
start from scratch and insert all the pictures onto it. I believe
Windows XP and Windows Vista came with this free software so you
probably have it. You click on Import Media and select the pictures
you want (press Ctrl to select individual pictures). You can then use
the Auto Movie button to add credits, music and transitions to your
movie. Then burn it to DVD.
Also there are PowerPoint MVPs professional advices for this issue,
check it yourself:

Hope this is helpful.

I have a client who wants me to create slides that keep track of sales and
applications, etc. in a creative way which he can change to meet what's going
on in his sales center. He is actually wanting to hook up his computer to a
flat-screen TV and use that for displaying the chart to his salesmen. All
this DVD talk is making me wonder... can I do this job for him??? I am a
graphic artist and not experienced with PowerPoint, however, I love a good
challenge... if I can overcome it!

If he is hooking up his computer to the TV, then all this DVD talk is
irrelevant. The DVD talk is only relevant if he wants to play a
presentation on a TV without PowerPoint and/or a computer. With a
computer, it's mainly a matter of getting the right connections to
connect the computer to the TV. You might also want to design the
PowerPoint so it made for wide screen:

Make screenshow fill a wide screen display
