Does anyone know of a program to let you use your computer for both
voicemail and to send/receive faxes? At this point I am not picky. If you
know of a free one great, if not I am willing to pay a reasonable price. I
do have SuperVoice but it is very archaic and not very high quality.

V3 Inc Callcentre at http://www.v3inc.com/freecc.htm

The problem I have found with these programs is, they don't allow you to
send/receive the faxes over an existing internet connection..... and those
that do, you have to pay to send the fax anyway :o(

I've always wanted my own fax number (would mean no more snail mail, hehe).

It sounds like just the ticket for me. I'm downloading now. We'll see how
it works out.

From the homepage:

"NOTE: CallCenter does NOT support ISDN or Cable Modems! "

Pretty much useless to me then.

Hmm.. It sounds like you are more interested in sending faxes over an
existing internet connection using an ISDN or cable modem. But that is not
what the original post was about. He wanted a program for BOTH voice mail
and fax. As far as I know you can't use a cable modem for voicemail. You
must use an analog fax/voice modem.

V3INC Call Centre looks great. But unfortunately it does not support
CALLER-ID. Pity!

It would like to find a free program for voice mail and fax that will also
log all my calls using the phone companies CALLER-ID feature.

But V3INC is free. Beggars can't be choosers. :)

I downloaded it an it appears to be very well done for my use however I
can't get it to record an outgoing message for the voice mail. It appears
to record it okay but will not save it for actual use. Any ideas? (I sent
off a question to their support team).
