Carolyn H.

I know this has probably been asked but I just found this group.

I have had XP for a little while now. What I want to do is when I select
the ALL PROGRAMS.. I would like to group things into folders as opposed to
having a large listing. Right now I have manage to for example have 3
shortcuts to Word in my attempts to cut/paste or drag it into a Microsoft
Office folder. I guess basically I would like to clean this area up much
like you can put favourites in named folders I would like to do the same for
my program files.

Any suggestions or help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
C.H.

Right-click on the Start Button and choose "Explore". This will open
Windows Explorer in the familiar two-pane layout and you'll see your
Start menu. You can then create new folders, move shortcuts around,
etc. to your taste.

Hit the Start button and right click on All Programs.
Select "Explore All Users" or "Open All Users" from the menu.
This should open the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu folder.
Within that folder open the Programs folder.
You can now organize your programs however you want.
Right click an open spot and select New -> Folder and name it
whatever you want.
Drag and drop the programs you want to organize into the new
folder.

Good luck

Right-click on Start, select Explore (or Explore All Users). Play any
games with the shortcuts that you woujld play with files -- move,
rename, create folders, etc.
