My boss has just reinstalled Win2K on his home PC. He was
trying to install the latest version of F-Secure anti-
virus package, which installed. However the automatic
update program Backweb failed to install with a
message "Insufficient Disk Space" or something like that.
However the 6GB disk is only a third full, so there
should be ample disk space.

Does anyone know why this would happen? He mumbled
something about maybe not enough temporary disk space,
but I do not know how to change that.

TIA

Some install programs don't properly test for available space.
They get an overflow if the freespace exceeds ~2GB.

Create some very large files to reduce the freespace.
