Microsoft Spyware can be downloaded to WIN2000
PROFESSIONAL machine but will not install. A message
comes up that "ItsDeductible Express" is needed, and below
a space shows a 1. I have downloaded it 6 times and it
will still not work. What is the problem?

I have a laptop with WINXPHome and it downloaded perfectly.

This looks like a Microsoft Installer issue on this particular machine. I
haven't installed on Windows 2000 Pro, but I have installed on Windows 2000
Server without issues.

Is the program cited presently installed on your machine--does it ring any
bells for you?

If it previously was installed, but is no longer, it is possible the the
Microsoft Installer cleanup application migh help resolve what is preventing
the install.

Later Sunday 1-09-2005: Someone suggested WINDOWS
INSTALLER CLEAN UP UTILITY. This supposedly cleans up the
registry, but does not delete the program. Going to
Control and Add-Deleprograms does not totally remove
MICROSOFT SPY WARE. I am still unable to load it without
it seeking ITSDEDUCTIBLE EXPRESS, what/wherever that
program is. Still need suggestions. I even copied the
program from my laptop to a CDROM, the WIN2000 Machine
loads it and the same results appear. It appears
something is corrupted in the WIN2000 PROFESSIONAL WINDOWS
PROGRAM. JOHNPAULJONES 1-09-2005: TIME: 1734 HOURS CST.

ItsDeductible is an app from Intuit's TurboTax. Did someone recently
install this and get an error on reboot? It sounds like the
installation is only half done and windows is trying to complete it.
Try loading ItsDeductible again.

Thanks--that's useful information. I've found that kind of
action--reinstalling the app named in the error message, has helped with
past installer snafu's I've run into--and I had no idea what that app was.

After a dilitent search it was determined that 2004
TURBOTAX DLXE has a program entitled ItsDeductible
Express which causes a conflict and will not allow
MICROSOFT ANTISPYWARE BETA 1 to install. TURBOTAX (Intuit)
as been told of this problem. To solve the problem,
TURBOTAX must be uninstalled, then MICROSOFT ANTISPYWARE
BETA 1 downloaded and installed, then TURBOTAX reinstalled
from the CDROM and then updates downloaded from Intuit on
the internet. JohnPaulJones 1-10-2005.
