Program downloads but won't open.

I download and install but when I go to open the program,
a picture appears very briefly and then nothing. I
simply cannot open the program to do anything

3 ghz Pentium IV
769 RAM

Maybe its a corrupted download, try downloading again.

If the problem re-occurs, restart system, run setup again and try installing
in a non-default location such as C:\MSAS. Also ensure that your temp folder
is empty.

Also ensure you are running as an Administrator.

It'd be good to do a virus scan with the newest definitions for your
antivirus.

If this persists, you may be able to do the install as follows. Restart
your system in safe mode by pressing F8 before the initial Windows screen
appears. Log in as administrator--you'll need the administrator password
for your machine--it is quite possible that there is none--just hit enter.
You will need to start the windows installer service, which you can do, I
believe, at a command prompt with:

net start "windows installer"

Then see whether the install is possible.
