I bought this program only about a month ago and when I tried to install it
on my new computer, which has Windows Vista Home Premium, it comes up with
the message below. Does anone know if there is a way I can install this
program.

This program has known compatibility issues

Check online to see if solutions are available from the Microsoft website.
If solutions are found, Windows will automatically display a website that

Have you tried installing in XP compatibility mode? That may solve the
problem.

If Individual Software has not updated its product for Vista, the fact that
you purchased it recently is immaterial.
I'd suggest that you do what the message suggests. Contact Individual and
explain the issue, then request a free upgrade to a Vista-compatible version
based on your recent purchase.

Open Windows Explorer, then click the Help Icon ("?") at the right end of
the toolbar. In the search textbox of the help window, type "compatibility
mode" (without the quotes).
In the list of articles that appears, find "Make older programs run in this
version of Windows" and click on that title. Follow the directions in the
article.

If that does not work for you, your only other option is to contact
Individual Software.

this is the problem with microsoft, not their software so they don't care.
they have your cash for vista now so off is their opinion!

If you buy bad gas from a gas station, who do you go to? Ford or the gas
station?

MS doesn't have the resources nor time to support everyone elses product.
Should they support my tiny little apps programmed for Windows 98? That'd
take a load off my back! :)

So, you believe that *every* OS developer is responsible for insuring the
compatibility of *every* application developed for that OS when they release
a new version?

No, this is (potentially in the case of Individual Software, the jury's
still out until Rebecca tries compatibility mode) the problem with
application developers who choose not to test and update their products,
even when given ample notice and access to the OS in plenty of time to test
and update.

cool so microsoft are responsible for tech support for their own software
then, as i have this issue with wmpnscfg.exe on my pc that causes it to hang
for about ten minuets on start up then makes my system run unbelievably slow
until i end the process via task manager. i know it is media player 11 and
have selected not to share any folders and disabled it in msconfig but it
still remains. i even tried to get rid of media player 11 to media player 10
that worked fine until some dam auto update took over my system to improve
it, but in add remove it fails to uninstall. i roll back to previous ver then
reboot as told to by windows the i try to remove the windows media java
runtime but it states that this is needed for a program (win media 11) i
tried to get some help for this but as i have an oem ver of windows unless i
pay £40 tech support is not avalible to me. so now i have installed microsoft
into my microsoft wouldnt you expect some tech support???????????? !!!!
