When I insert a new program CD they are no longer starting up automatically.
I have to go and search for the setup or install menu. Is there a way I can
reset my system to auto recognize these programs ?

Is there somewhere else i can download it, says my computer failed
validation ? Running XP Pro which was Preinstalled on my computer.
