Program Association Lost - Only Within Outlook

I have a Win98 user who appears to have lost program association within
Outlook only.
Setup is Outlook 2000 and Exchange Server2003.
Double clicking an attachment in Outlook returns a message something along
the lines of:

c:\%cache%\olkc32\..... unable to locate associated program.

If he extracts the file, explores to it and then double clicks it - no
problemo!

Is this an Outlook setting gone missing?

TIA

Phil

Have you already cleared your Temporary Internet Files? This will also clear
the cache for Outlook.

Thanks for that. Clearing the temporary files appears to have solved half
of the problem.
Excel files now open.
When I double click a drawing file, the correct viewing application is
launched, but an error message appears:
"Unsupported drawing format c:\%cache%\olk........"
If this attachment is saved locally and double clicked, the viewing
application loads and opens the file no problem!

Any further ideas please?

TIA

Phil

Are these the same applications? The Microsoft Picture editor often has
problems with specific jpg-files (especially large ones)
