my firewall program (mcafee)detects a program ,application
layer gateway service v5.1.2.what is this program.thanks
for any help...

It's a normal part of Windows XP. According to the XP documentation,
it "Provides support for 3rd party protocol plug-ins for Internet
Connection Sharing and the Internet Connection Firewall".
