Prog to play videos with ac3 (Dolby) audio?

Hi helpful gurus :-)

I have copied an old VHS tape and processed it to an mpeg. Then I muxed it
with ac3 and created an img file. I can play this with Med Player Classic
but I get no audio, although the prog identifies the audio. I copied a bit
of the ac3 file that was muxed and I can play it with Azid.

I need to check the img file with some reliable prog before I burn and
possibly create another coaster. A good DVD player prog that can handle ac3
is really what I need.

Help much appreciated.

The .img filetype is not a Media format. .VOB is DVD

You probably need ac3 filter
http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/

Another Video player that supports DVD
Video lan client http://www.videolan.org/

If your Stand alone DVD player supports RW DVD's burn one of
those first to see if you were sucessful before burning a
DVD-R.
