Looking for a way to maintain a user profile under XP
Professional when switching domains. Using same user
name with a different profile caused XP to create a new
profile loosing all users shortcuts and customization.
Is there a way to maintain this profile while switching
domains?
 
XP and Win2k will create profiles for each domain you log onto. I haven't
researched this too deeply, but what I can suggest is to copy all your
shortcuts (I presume it is the same user which logs on to different
domains??) from the Documents and Settings\user\desktop to the All
user\desktop folder.

This way, no matter where you are, or the user, he/she will have the same
shortcuts on the desktop.
