I am going through a divorce and wanted to delete my
wife's name from our windows profile, but inadvertently
and stupidly, I went into the Control Panel, went to Users
and Passwords and deleted the user group for myself and my
wife. I established another group under my name but
obviously lost connections to every other program I have
installed. I corrected most of the connection problems by
copying my documents and settings info to the new ID, but
I lost all of my email and cannot get Windows Media Player
to work at all (it says a link is missing). I've
uninstalled media player and reinstalled, with no results.

Use the import function of your mail software. For the other ask them in
windowsmedia.player
