Profile folder delete

Profiles were created in an installation of XP Pro.
Because of a problem, XP pro was installed again on
another drive and the first installation removed. Some of
the profiles from the first installation cannot be removed
or altered in any way. Others deleted just fine. Any idea
how I can delete these old profiles?
 
I have a similar problem. My profile in WINXP PRO became corrupt and XP started putting me into a "TEMP" profile. I created a new profile and imported my email, desktop etc so I have everything like I want again. The problem is I cannot completey get rid of the old bad profile. I have tried to delete it in system etc.. as the instructions say.. all it did was make it like a generic profile.
