I have Windows XP and IExplorer 6. I'm not very computer
literate (as you will see below) I went to Internet
Options (under Tools), then clicked on the Content Tab,
and then clicked on My Profile (for Microsoft Profile
Assistant). A contact (name and email) of a friend of my
roomate's showed up. The computer asked me if I wanted
to make this contact my default contact or something like
that and I hit ok (my mistake). Now when I hit the same
buttons in Internet Options, that contact shows up when I
hit My Profile (the contact with someone elses name)--and
the computer doesn't ask me if I want to make it my
default and I can't add another contact. What I want to
do is go back to the way it was before I hit the "make
contact my default" (or something like that). I want the
single contact to show up as a single contact, but I
don't want to be my default contact. (Am I making
sense?) Any suggestions?

The Profile Assistant is a feature you probably don't need anyway. All it
does is to provide you with an automatic form-filling gizmo on certain web
pages. See:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/management/prof
ile/profile_assistant.asp

Your current settings probably don't matter one way or another, and if you
want a forms manager for IE you would be better off using a 3rd party one
such as AI Roboform:
