Kori Page

When I start any of my Microsoft Office applications,
there is a small screen that comes up and says the product
is licensed to "Kori Carter" and then the product ID
number is displayed. I have now remarried and my name is
Kori Page. Is there any way I can have that name changed
on that screen? I have my product ID number written down,
so if there is a way I can change the last name, please
let me know via email at (e-mail address removed) or
(e-mail address removed).

Thank you.

It depends on the version. Word 97 has to be reinstalled. Word 2000 and
above can be changed with a Registry edit. See "OFF2000: How to Change
Company Name and User Name After Setup" at

Hi Kori,

Congratulations :) You can change the display
name through Tools=>Options=>User Info in Word.

Does this change it on the splash screen or just in the Properties? I
realize I'm mixing up User Name and Company, but I still thought that
changing the name in the User Info did not change it on the splash screen.

Hi Suzanne,

It should change it on the splash screen as well
after restarting Word for Word 2000 and 2002.
