I have FP2003 installed on my home PC and I'd like to also install it on my
new laptop so I can work on my website while away from home. I tried
installing using the product key on the sticker inside the CD case but get an
invalid product key message. Unfortunately I am away from home and only have
the CD with me and not the packaging. Can I install the program on the
laptop? How do I get past the invalid key message?

Any help would be appreciated.
TIA

Barb

You can't w/ the product key
- normally on the CD case or holder
- call home

Thanks for your reply. I reread my post and realize I wasn't too clear. I DO
have the Product Key number which is on a sticker inside the CD case, but I
don't have any of the other stuff, the package, guide, etc.

So I have the product key I used to install the program on my PC but when I
try and install it on my laptop I get an invalid product key message so it
won't install.

Any thoughts? Do I need to somehow get permission to install the software on
my own second computer (laptop)? Do I need to buy a new/second license with a
new key?

Thanks again...

Make sure you are typing the key in correctly.
Watch for CaSe, Don't mix up B(bee) and 8(eight), O(oh) and 0(zero),
1(one) and l(lower case L), S(ess) and 5(five) etc. (though every
product key I have used has been numeric or upper case letters.)

Your licence for FP does allow installation by one person (primary/sole
user) of those machines to install on 1 PC and 1 laptop.
The same CD key should work for both installations.

Again, emphasising what Ronx says, don't mix up similar looking characters
like lower case 'l' and number '1' or numeral zero 0 and capital 'O' etc
others include B and 8.
