Visit http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html and download the free
Belarc Advisor. After running the program, look under the section
titled "Software Licenses".

Please excuse me if I am interrupting a current subject. I tried to post a
new subject and this seem to be the only way to do it - by clicking on a
respnse of a memeber and then writing in my message. When I tired to click on
NEW and then Question, I didn't get any screen with a subject heading.

My problem is that after installing Windows XP, I noticed the DVD
player- Power DVD runs far too dark despite the fact that I went into the
video configuration Advance settings and turned on brightness to the full
extent. It also didn't help to turn up the brightness of the monitor. Is
there something in Windows XP professional that will help me restore the
brightness of my DVD's ? Thanks.

John, at least part of the reason you're having such problems is that you
are using the web interface to read this newsgroup--it's the slowest,
clunkiest, most error-prone method there is. Do yourself a favor and switch
to a newsreader, such as Outlook Express, which comes with Windows.
