Product key help

Where do you enter your product key after you install the program? I have entered it once but every time i start up vb .net, it asks for me to enter a valid one, and I dont know where to enter it. I have looked almost everywhere. Can someone please help.
This is the message it is giving me when I start vb .net: "Please enter a valid product key - setup has detected that your product key is missing or invalid."

You can't. Visual Studio is not shareware. The time you need to enter the
product key is when you install the program, not later. If you get that
error message maybe some file or registry key got corrupted somehow. You
should reinstall Visual Studio; you may try the repair install, but I would
recommend first full uninstall, then full install.

I suggest you completely remove VB.NET and then re-install it giving it the
key during the install phase.

If you entered a wrong key when installing, you will have to reinstall
everythign with the right key.
