Product comparator

I need to make a product comparator on a webpage. What I am looking for is
simple and can be found here

I am sure there are many types in a million websites but basically I need to
put about a dozen products on a slider and allow the user to put a check mark
in the ones they want to compare, click compare and have the proper specs
come up on a page. I know this one is in flash but that is not necessary if
there is an easier way.

Please if you can lead me to the easist solution for this it would be
greatly appreciated
