in attempting to open pictures in a new web site I built, FP is asking me to
enter name, org, and product code. I enter code from CD and it says it's
wrong - HOW DO I MAKE THIS WORK - I NEED TO EDIT THIS PICS ???????

ANY HELP?

I'm not entirely sure what you're saying.

Do you mean when you have your website opened in FP on your local machine
when you click on an image to edit it, you are getting this request?

What image editor do you have registered in FP to edit that image? Because
it sounds like _thats_ the program that is requesting the name, org, product
code...not FP.

Be absolutely sure you're entering the CD-Key code correctly. Double check
you're not entering a similar looking character which might be the wrong
one:

B and 8
b and 6
1 and l (that is, the number one and lower-case "L"). - this one is probably
the most obvious since 1 and l look identical (and that's in times roman
font) - but in a non-serif font they'd look even more alike.

These might seem obvious, but sometimes, the way they are printed on the
label are what confuse people.

Also be sure you're entering the CD-Key for the correct product, i.e. don't
input the CD-Key code for MS Office if you're trying to install Frontpage.

Obvious suggestions, but one reason a use may overlook checking the simple
things.

No need to yell.....thank you.

There are other similar looking characters.

Thank you for your comments. You are correct in your assumptions. The request
is comming from - Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003 - I will attempt top
get the disks back from my ex wife. This may take longer than going out and
getting new software.

orrr....forget the ex-wife and register a different image editor!
that may solve the problem.

if you don't have a favorite image editor...download Irfanview (freebie) -
it's a great tool to have (and not a true image editor but...) anyway,
register Irfanview as image editor in xWeb and see what happens then.

in xWeb: Tools | Application Options | Configure Editors ...from there you
can figure out how.
