When I try to move from the media tab to the preview presentation tab in ppt
producer it will only work the first time after that I have to exit out and
start again.

What happens after the first time (messages ?).

Is this with a stock template as delivered with Producer?
 
It is blank and will not load my presentation. I have to exit out and come
back into the program - then again it only works the first time I use the
preview presentation tab. Yes it is a stock template as delivered with
producer.

Don't know what the problem might be.

If you package the presentation via pack and go and send it to me (or
provide a link for download) I will try it and see if I get the same
result.

It is not the presentation because it does the same thing on all
presentations. I feel certain it is in the download or my hard drive
settings. I was teaching a class on Producer and out od 20 computers about
have of them were having the same problem I am.
 
I meant to say half the machines will run it fine and some of them will not.
That makes me think it is in the setting of the different computers. I tried
the pop-up blocker but that didn't work. Any other ideas?

Nothing specific comes to mind.

You could contact Microsoft Support
(http://www.microsoft.com/services/microsoftservices/srv_support.mspx). You
will probably end up paying though unless you have some sort of corporate
support contract

Nowhere else for "peer"/free support that comes to mind (other than
www.producerpros.net which has recently been revived but probably has not
many visitors) -- Microsoft has chosen to no longer support Producer in the
recently released PowerPoint/Office versions so interest has waned at the
user and Microsoft ends.

No -- I see it too on my machine, though my need is less since I have
chosen (in large port because of lack of Microsoft attention to Producer)
to not do use Producer for future productions.

Perhaps this is a an IE6 vs. IE7 issue? I am running IE7. What about the
machines with the problem at your end? The ones without?
