Procmon and Firefox problem

My FF has been crashing so I loaded Procmon to find the prob.
Last night I ran Procmon while running FF but I couldn't get it to
crash. Lately it's been crashing after an hour or so of use.
I couldn't crash FF so I closed Procmon, and FF crashed RIGHT THEN!
How would you explain that?

This morning I tried the same thing, but I closed Procmon and FF
remained okay.

It's almost like Procmon prevents FF from crashing, but how could that
be? I noticed Procmon takes about 25M memory if that matters.

The will probably ask other mundane questions.

You may want to include such in in your post so they don't have to be
asked in the first place.

What exaclty does crash mean?
What do you do to recover normal operation after the crash?
Is it particular WWW pages or just about any WWW page?
Are you just browsing around or doing things that involve things like
videos?
What version of XP and Service Pack are you running?
What version of Firefox are you running?
Have you added any new items (add-ons) to your Firefox configuration
lately?
If yes, did you try disabling the latest additions?
Have you tried to run Firefox with minimal/no add-ons?
