Processor Levels

Hi

I have a question about processors.

Currently I own a laptop with a Intel P3 750 Processor. I am looking to
get a new laptop but an confused by all the different processors.

How could I rank them or work out speeds compared to my old laptop,
examples of processors i have seen are:

P1-1730
PM-533
CEL-1400
