"processing messages"

when i open vista windows mail, a dialog box pops up and says "processing
messages" it goes thru several lists (have no idea what) with a green bar
showing progress of the "processing". what is that? that feature did not
exist on XP.

I am Using the Mcafee that came with the Dell I just bought. Is it that
program that's doing the "processing"?

Possibly. My WinMail doesn't show "processing", but I don't have
McAfee. Anyone who lets McAfee run on their machine is asking
for trouble.

If it uses the word "processing" it is NOT WinMail giving the message. You
should get rid of McAfee. It is going to cause you problems.
