Process Explorer ?

Using Process Explorer 8.35, is there a way to just get the task bar
icon without the program actually opening up? There is an option to
'hide when minimized' but how do I get it to open and not have to
manually minimize it?

I had an earlier version running and didn't have this problem.
Perhaps I should try to find it.

Thanks for any info.

Make a shortchut to it (usually ...."C:\Program Files\Process Explorer
\procexp.exe") ,then right clcik the shortcut and click properties,then in
"run" box ..set it to minimized.

My solution, if I've understood your question correctly, is to minimise it
to the task bar, right mouse button click, and choose 'Close'. The next
time that it's run, it starts minimised in the task bar.

Is that what you want? Most applications seem to operate this way.

Roy, thanks very much. I did what you suggested (and also made the
shortcut open in minimized mode) and it now opens only in the taskbar.
Exactly what I was looking for.
