Running Outlook under Win XP Home. Outlook 2002 has SP3 installed. Since
installing SP2 to WinXP we have been having long wait times after clicking
the Reply or Forward buttons in the toolbar. We get the hourglass wait
symbol for a minute or longer. We get a prompt response when we click New.
Anyone have any ideas?

Once the hourglass goes away, do you have any problems with sending the
reply or forward? Have you tried using the Test Account Settings to see if
there is a problem with the account?

To be sure, I would try removing and readding the account.

Once the hourglass goes away, we can begin typing the reply, but it
sometimes comes back before the reply is completed and we must go into
another wait state. We have three accounts setup and all test OK. This AM I
tried to reply to all the new messages in my account by clicking reply and
then when it brought up the reply window, I closed the window and tried the
next message. All worked fine. Then I actually replied to a message and all
went well. I clicked reply on the next message and Outlook froze with the
hourglass. After 10 mins of waiting I aborted with a three finger salute
(CTRL+ALT+DEL) and was able to reply after restarting Outlook.
