Problems

I did all the critial updates yesterday, and now lost
all sound going to the mikeaphone. and the computer keeps
locking up on me. Any one have any ideas how to fix this
problem.

Do a system restore back to before you did the updates. Once you are stable
again, apply the critical updates again ONE AT A TIME until you find the one
which causes the problem, then restore again and skip that problem update
for now. Read all the readme's associated with each update to see if there
are any known problems with them.

I had some similar problems and think I discovered that the updated sound
card drivers Microsoft had for me during the Update were the cause. It is
always best to go to the manufactures web site and get the updated drivers
from them.
