my microsoft antispyware expires in 44 days, so i have
tryed to download to new version, everything seems to be
downloading & installing correctly, but when i open it up
it is still saying expires in 44 days. im fairly new to
computers, has something gone wrong? or do i need to wait
until the 44 days are up before i upgrade the new
version? or do i need to uninstall the old version 1st
before i upgrade? thanks i be gratful for any help Ellen

For the time being, do nothing. There is no new version to extend the
deadline available yet. When it is available, we'll be able to give clear
instructions about how to find it.

Everything looks bad, but fortunatelly it's all OK :) This is the assumed
date of the expiration od Beta 1 version, but before that date, there will
be an update to MS AntiSpyware, which will delay the expiration time and fix
some existing bugs in that application. This information was provided by
Steve Dodson from Microsoft, so await this update patiently :)

I hope so. The new version is available for download, and I've seen reports
of it being offered automatically, but haven't experienced that working
first hand.
