I unfortunately purchased Spykiller 2004 to get rid of the annoyin
number of pop-up ads on my machine. Not only did it remove th
parasite files, but it has really messed up my Windows XP.
First thing I noticed was that when I loaded Internet Explorer I alway
got "Page Cannot be Displayed" I tried restoring windows to an earlie
date but no change.
I then re-installed Windows XP and that is when further issues arose.
During installation I had error messages relating to MSDART.DLL which
finally managed to clear. Now in windows XP if I click on propertie
of My Computer I get another error message realting to winsta.dll.
But the main problem is that I cannot access the internet! I currentl
use an ADSL broadband modem through the USB port. after removing an
re-installing the driver for it I plug in the USB cable and the powe
is provided but Windows XP doesn't recognise that anything is there!
Also if I try to set up a new network connection...either for my ADS
modem or a simple dial up I go through the connection wizard but th
options to set up your own dial-up/broadband have been blanked out s
that you cannot select them!!!
Anyone else experienced this or have any advice??
All the best
