problems with windows

1- When scrolling, the motion is very jerky. Can that be
corrected.
2-get an error message when downloading service pack 1
3- certain programs won't run such as diskkeeper and
partitionmagic. Why

Did they pass the windows xp compatability check ?
Are there licensing issues ?
Have you checked the PM and executive software websites for updates or
maybe your versions aren't compatible with xp and require a later revision.
I've got diskeeper Version 8.
