pages/websites

This problem just started on Thursday, 10/2/2003. Before
that I had no problems. I am a webmaster and Search
Engine Optimization Expert, and when I go into several
websites to View/Source the code, I am getting nothing.
the gentleman who I am working with just downloaded the
Internet Explorer Version 6 Service Pack 1 last night or
today (Thursday, 10/2/2003 or Friday, 10/3/2003).

I downloaded it onto my desktop (ie6setup.exe), but when
I try to install it and then open it, I get nothing still
when I go into Internet Explorer 6.0 (from my desktop
icon). I cannot get it to extract (or whatever you do to
get the new IE 6 Service Pack to work, either using
WinZip or PKZip).

Right now, I just have an icon (with a funky looking E)
on my desktop, and Internet Explorer below it. How do I
get the new IE Service Pack I to work, to solve the
View/Source problem, on webpages and websites?

What can I do, because I have to View/Source on the
internet sites me and the other gentleman have created,
to see the code to make changes. This is my
livelihood!!! and what I make a living at!!!

I have contacted Microsoft this evening (Friday,
10/3/2003) and they are going to charge me $35.00 for
support, because I have used up all of my instances.

I went into self-help and cannot find any answers to my
question above.

HELP, HELP, HELP ASAP (Immediately, if not sooner)!!!

Jon,
There may be several reasons .........

1) If a shortcut exists on the Desktop for Notepad, rename it.
2) Some users have reported Quick View Plus to be the culprit?
[or]
Close all instances of OE and IE
Control Panel | Internet Options | General tab | Delete Files button
Also select the option: "Delete all offline files"
Then click the "Clear History" button, while you're at it ......
Reset the TIF cache size to 50 mb. Click Apply\Ok
