I have the following problem with every Windows 2000 machine in my company
with the latest Update Rollup for Windows 2000 Service Pack 4. My problem
is resolved by removing the update.
I would like to know if anyone else is having this problem.
Here is my scenerio. All of my network printers are setup on Windows Server
2003 Cluster Services. If the workstation has any printer setup on a
clustered share all of my office applications (Office 2000 or Office 2003)
will exit with the error message OUTLOOK, WINWORD, EXCEL.EXE has generated
and error. For testing purposes If I setup a server share for the printer
(s) the problem will disappear. If I remove the update and use the
clustered share the problem disappears. I have seem to narrowed the problem
down to the update and clustered printer share. I have tried different
model printers with different drivers (Dell & HP).
