The toolbar appears to be soft focus, can I sharpen it? The rest of the screen appearance is normal. My screen rez is 1024 X 768 with 100 Hz refresh. My previous version of Word's toolbar was normal.

From the Tools menu, select Customize and then go to the Options tab and
uncheck the Large Icons button.

Hope this helps

Doug:

The large icons box was not checked. If you compare the crisp, well-defined outlook of Word 2000 with these current icons in the toolbar you will better understand what I mean. One is sharp(2000) and the other is soft, out-of-focus(Word 2003). What is the purpose of a soft-look icon anyway? If there is a work around, I would like to know it. Looking at gives me a headache.

I have two PC's here, both with WIndows XP Professional and one running
Office 2000 and the other with Office 2003 and with the small icons set, the
icons in Office 2003 are far superior to those in 2000.
