Problems with the touchpad

My touchpad is not working properly. When I move my finger down, the mouse on
the screen goes up and vice versa. How do I get this fixed?

Turn your laptop 180 degrees so that the screen reflects the touchpad
direction.

[end humor]

If you were gaming, this touchpad behavior is "Invert Y". If you have
been gaming and did select invert Y, go back to the game and uncheck
invert Y.

Otherwise, this might be an arcane setting in the video adapter,
although I've never seen it except in gaming.
