Problems with text

Hi,

I'm having problems with the text on a few of my slides.
When I'm in "Edit text" mode it looks fine, but when I
click out of the text box the text on the slide is off -
it looks like you're seeing double. Anyone know how to fix
this? I'm using PowerPoint 2000 for Windows.

Check and see if the text is shadowed, either in Format Text, or on the draw
toolbar (the first actually shadows the text, the second shadows the box and
its contents.)

Hello,

Most likely, the shape containing the text has shape shadow formatting
applied to it. For unfilled shapes with shadow formatting, the shadow that
it applies to text does not appear while the text is being edited (only
text shadow formatting is visible while editing). But, as soon as you click
outside of the shape so that you are no longer in text entry/edit mode for
that shape, the shapes shadow formatting is rendered for any text in that
unfilled shape.

To remove this unwanted shadow formatting:

1) Select the shape/object containing the text
2) On the Draw toolbar, click the "Fill color" tool and choose "No fill"
from the menu that comes up.
