I have a database that worked fine up until lastweek.
I'm not sure what i did....but now when I try to use certain tables I 'm
getting themessage:
The expression or current you entered as the event property setting produced
the following: Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost.

I have even deleted several tables to recreate them from scratch, and I
still get this sort of message.

Or.....I'm getting "the value you entered isn't valid for this
field".........even though the values match my design of the tables.

I'm using access 2000.

Any ideas?

Have you tried Tools, Utilities, Compact and Repair?
If you are accessing the tables from a front end Access, and the tables are
on the back end, did the location of the tables change? If so run the
Utility to change the location of the back end tables.

Your database file is unfortunately corrupt. If you've been VERY
lucky, you can use Tools... Database Utilities... Compact and Repair
to fix it.

You may need to restore from the most recent working backup. If you
don't have a working backup... you now know why it's important that
you DO keep backups. :-{(

See http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm for details about
the causes and cures of database corruption.
