I'm using IE 6.0.2900.xpsp_sp2... and have recently changed from a DSL
ISP to a cable television company ISP. I've noticed lately that on
some sites, some of the smaller GIF images aren't being pulled in when
the page loads. Sometimes I can reload the page and that will take
care of it, or right-click and select "Show Image", but sometimes that
doesn't work. I can usually check the image address and post it
directly into the address window and bring it up, so I know the image
address is correct.

Is there a setting I need to change on my browser to make it work with
the new ISP?

Hi,
First, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often
recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)

If you've uninstalled GetRight try this:
Run regedit. Export (just in case) then delete these keys.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\ftp
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\http
You may not have those sub-keys (ftp & http) Many systems won't.

Is a third-party program blocking these because they're a standard size for
ads? Check settings of security/ad-blocking programs.

Hope this helps,
