I built a file server for an office, and installed Windows 2000
Advanced Server. I've set it up for DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.
Unfortunately, when I test things by logging on to the clients as
different users, none of them have their home directories mapped. I
used the user properties to set it up as '\\srv2000a\e$\<username>'.
It has created those folders on the E: drive, but none of them are
getting mapped. Can I get some help with letting the users store files
on the file server?
Also, despite what appears to be a proper setup as far as DHCP and DNS
go, none of the networked computers can access the internet. They can
all 'see' the router, or at least can ping it successfully. They were
all capable of accessing the internet before, when the router was
selected as their DNS server. Will I need to reset the router settings
to allow the server to handle the DNS?
