Problems with script blocker

I tried to run an MS batch file, and script blocker popped up and asked if it
was ok.
I pressed "Allow" (and checked "remember this"), but despite this, Spyware
just kept bringing up the same window, asking me if it was ok to run the
script (it did this at least 40 times....) Finally I just said "block" and
went into spyware to disable script blocker. Then I ran the script just fine.

Now I'm trying to re-active script blocker, but it won't take. I press
"Activate checkpoint", but nothing happens.

2 questions:
Why wouldnt' script blocker let my script run when I pressed "allow"?
How do I get script blocker re-activated?

Thanks,
Carol

Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware bulls eye in the notification area
and click Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware, then run the script. Hopefully
this will fixed in BETA 2.

Tip from Andy:

Run all the batch files once on your system and
choose "Allow" on the MSAS notice and check the
box "Remember This Action" for each .If these batch files
run again then it will not block them.

Perform a repair to re-activate the script blocking and process execution
checkpoints, If you disabled script blocking then both checkpoints get
deactivated, Hopefully this issue will be repaired in the next beta release

Here's 3 ways to perform a repair:

1. Goto "Start Menu" > "Control Panel" > "Add/Remove Programs" > Click
"Microsoft Antispy" and you will see "Click Here For Support Information"
press this and then choose "Repair".

2. You can also press Change on the Add/Remove screen entry then when the
maintenance wizard opens press "Update" then "Install"

3. Goto "Start Menu" then "Run" and copy and paste this:

MsiExec.exe /I{536F7C74-844B-4683-B0C5-EA39E19A6FE3}

This will also open the maintenance wizard so again press "Update" then
"Install"

When its finished all the checkpoints will be re-enabled, As Andre said if
you run all the batch scripts once then the second time it will not ask
permission unless the name of the batch script is changed or its put in a new
location, The script blocker shouldn't keep giving the same alert even after
you chose to allow so it may be worth checking the settings:

Open Microsoft Antispyware goto 'Options' then 'Settings', Click 'Real Time
Protection' At the bottom of the screen is the option for Script Blocking,
make sure that is set to 'Ask me what to do' and not 'Automatically prevent
all scripts from running' , If you have to change it then press Save but
running the repair should return the settings to default. If you still have
problems disable the real time protection as Andre explained.

Regards

Andy
