Hi,
I am using RIS to deploy Compaq EVO Minitowers. Initially, I encountered
problems while using the default setup image caused by the Intel Pro/100 VE
adapter. However, I found a useful setup guide at
http://www.mvps.org/serverstuff/RIS/Intel/Intel100VM.htm describing the
steps required to get this working.
The setup went through fine but I find now the OS has been loaded with no
network drivers present. I added the adapter manually - using the same setup
files as used in the RIS image before, planning to use RIPREP to create a
new image.
RIPREP fails trying to stop the RASMAN and TAPISRV services. I have found
this problem before when using RIPREP and having setup Dial-up or VPN
connections but in this case, there are no connections setup so I think this
must have something to do with the Intel Drivers again.
I know this problem with Intel adapters is not uncommon but has anyone
managed to get a RIPREP image or at least get the drivers into Windows?
thanks for any feedback...
